DuneCam™ Ordering
There are two major components to the DuneCam™ system: the aerial controller and the ground controller. Each can be ordered separately. In some cases, it is possible to customize the connectors to meet specific customer's needs.

Aerial ControllerA short female JST/BEC connector for power is provided. Also included is a short cable with a female "RCA" connector for video. The aerial controller requires a 2-cell, 7.4V Lithium-Ion Polymer (LiPo) battery (not included).

Infrared (IR) CableAn IR cable is also available. This is required if you intend to use IR triggering of your shutter. The standard length of this cable is 10" (25 cm). See the DuneCam User's Manual for IR camera compatibility.

Custom Video Cable ModificationDuneCam comes with a video adapter with a RCA phono jack. This will plug into all standard camera video cables. If this arrangement is too bulky, the RCA phono jack can be removed and the wires soldered directly to the appropriate cable for your camera. Add this item to your DuneCam order to have us do the soldering instead of you doing the soldering. The customer is responsible for supplying the cable for connection to the camera. A customized cable can be made any length.

Shutter Switch CableThis cable allows connection to the 4 pin shutter switch connector. This is a 10" cable with no connections on the other end. It is the customer's responsibility to connect the end of the cable as needed.

CHDK CableThis cable allows the DuneCam aerial controller to be used with a Canon camera running CHDK. This allows triggering of the camera's shutter and other functions. The standard length of this cable is 10" (25 cm).

Ground ElectronicsThe ground electronics consists of the handheld ground controller, a Mini SD card and a neck lanyard. It also includes a charging cable for charging the battery from a USB port and a 12V adapter for charging in a car.

110VAC ChargerThe DuneCam ground controller comes with a USB and 12V chargers standard. In addition, this charger can be used to charge the ground controller from 110VAC (North American power outlets).

MiniSD CardThe DuneCam ground controller ships with one MiniSD card, used for configuring the system. If you like, you can buy a spare card.

Other
The aerial controller requires a 2-cell (7.4V) LiPo battery. Depending on the current draw of your servos and your expected battery life, you will need a battery in the 300 mA-Hr to 1000 mA-Hr range. The battery must have a male JST (B.E.C.) connector. An example of this kind of battery can be found here.
Make sure you use a charger intended for 2 cell LiPo batteries. A balanced charger is highly recommended for longest battery life. Make sure that the charging connector on the battery matches that on your charger. An example of a balanced charger is found here. You may also need an adapter for connecting your battery charging connector to your charger.
You will need a way of reading and writing data to the MiniSD card. Many USB card readers are available and many cost about $10 US.

All U.S. shipments are sent USPS Priority Mail.

Note for International Shipments: Shipments will be made via US Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail International. This is a 6 to 10 day delivery service to your country, but the shipment will be subject to additional delay in customs before delivery to you. Depending on your location, this could add up to two additional weeks. After shipping, you will receive an automated email from PayPal with a link for tracking information. Unfortunately, USPS does not offer tracking service for these international packages, so this link may not provide any useful information.
